The Caribbean Integral Institute is a private institute for higher learning in Curacao, Netherlands Antilles that offers programmes that assist learners in shifting their perspective towards the Whole Person. In order to stimulate the Awareness of the Whole Person we assist in theoretically and practically understanding the fundamental nature of experience. Learners are assisted to observe experience in the spiritual-, mental-, emotional- and physical domains. They gain a great deal of practical insight and experience that enables them to continuously observe and relate with ever continuing human processes on different levels of experience.
Living Systems-, Process- and ancient Indian and Greek philosophies and scientific views serve as a transdisciplinary theoretical basis for mentioned process of learning. The theory and awareness of living systems in general and specifically of human processes radically changes one's outlook, perspective, experience and re-establishes balance. This in turn informs the learner's understanding in regard to the theory and practice of different fields like communication, philosophy, health care, education, psychology, ecology, community work, and more. By aligning what we think, express and do with what we feel, we help ignite the true genius within. This serves as a basis for consciousness-, personal-, social- and ecological transformation.
Our ACM Living Systems Organization & Communication view is offered to help reopen the conversation among different fields by making them transparent with each other from a common fundamental and integrative view.
Academics
The Caribbean Integral Institute concentrates on the following domains of study and research:
- School of Education - regards educational practices that cater to the need of individual students that want to develop a deeper awareness and understanding of human experience and thus grow beyond the parameters of knowledge and skillsbased training,
- School of Integrative Health - regards the integration of traditional and conventional health care practices from a human awareness based systems view,
- School of Arts - regards sustainable development of Artistic expression through poetry, music (instrumental and singing) and dance.

Study and Research
Since its initial stage the Caribbean Integral Institute has emphasized educational activities that are an important means to accomplish its mission. Its international faculty and research teams include (post)doctoral, graduate as well as undergraduate participants.
The Caribbean Integral Institute works with a mixture of classroom and individualized educational programmes that are supported through online learning resources. The institute has its own electronic learning environment that students, faculty and affiliated persons and organizations have access to.
Starting from January 2007 prospective students can at any time start with a 2 year multi-disciplinary “Individualized Research Master’s” programme that aims at studying the following themes from a Systems philosophical basis:
- Emergence and Innovation in Evolutionary Systems;
- Emergence, Organization and Dynamics of Living Systems;
- Dynamics and Qualitative Studies of Human Behavior, Health, Social and Ecological systems;
- Information Processing in Society.
